The hunger...

Hello there everyone,
This mini-break sure was kinda good. Some people did a lot of useful shit, some slept, some watched the humongous bowl. But me? well...
It was kind of a weird break for me. The issues started Wednesday last week, I was perfectly comfortable at work when lunch break comes in. Alas, I had lost my Meal-plan Card (prepaid/credit card for acquiring food at the school cafeteria). This caused that due to the lack of money in general, I had to suffer and not eat a thing (well apart from the occasional popcorn I had @ home) from that day till Friday.

After that I was going to my dad's house to spend the weekend, maybe even go to the second part of the Pokemon Prerelease... WRONG!!
As I was getting home, my dad was nowhere to be found, so I had to spend a lot of time at home alone up until 5pm, the time my brother and father returned.
We got to eat meal-dinner and instead of spending some time toghether my dad tells me we HAVE to attend to a reunion of my dad's woman's friends (read that one carefully, and no its not my mom).
So there we are I being the only 20's person there while everyone else its 13 and below or 40 and older (and talking about boring Facebook stuff and vanities... I mean come on!)
So there I was at a party I didn't want to attend, with no one to talk to while reading a book and playing some music in my cellphone... awesome day (sarcasm intended).

At last we returned home, I though that maybe tomorrow we would get to play at the Pokemon Prerelease... how wrong I was...
The plans for Sunday included going to visit a far away relative of my dad's woman that was sick. Okay, I take that we have to take care of the family, that isn't the part I'm complaining for, the part I'm complaining includes that in the end my dad wasn't capable of getting up early to actually visit this person. This caused us to move all the schedule for the day, but made it impossible to go make the visit or go play Pokemon. At the end we stayed at home doing nothing, watching the Superbowl and them going to church (I was invited but neither I'm religious or was in the mood).
At the end I ended up doing laundry.

So yeah, after that, there was pretty common stuff to do, homework and the likes, with a few tests here and there. Until yesterday in which I got back my nomnoms Card and could finally eat decently again! :D

So yeah, I just wanted to let that out. I'm working in getting a host for a site im planning, its gonna be part blog, possibly part comic, part portfolio, part news. I'll say more as it develops.

Booster packs and stuff...

Well, today was a very hectic day. At first I thought it would be as boring a always but alas, how wrong I was!
First of all, and the core of this post, is that I finally managed to get my 570 booster packs from Pokemon TCG online.

These were bought a day after my prerelease tournament and I the store didn't credit them into my account. I'm still opening packs!

Soo many packs!!

I really hope a league for online gaming opens up, that way I can get some pretty sick decks out there.

In other news regarding my life, apparently I'm applying to be a Google evangelist.I still have no concrete idea what an evangelist is supposed to do but, if out gives me creds, then welcome it is.
Nonetheless I gave to consider that I'm also applying for a second online job in order to sustain myself a little better, but I still can't count on me being picked just yet.
And in the saddest story this day, apparently I list my meal plan card, that means that I'll have to pay for my food for these 3 or 4 days.

Well as an a added bonus to this day/week apparently I'll be getting no more humungous quantities of Pokemon booster packs. It's sad because I had great plans but I think they will not be completed now...

Returning to pokemon

Hello there,
It appears that this weekend was a "returning to" weekend for me. Beside reopening my blog I restarted in Pokemon TCG.

Hell yeah!!!

It was a loooong time since I played, so I was a little rusty in the new rules and the new Pokemon that would appear in this set. Nonetheless the situation wasn't so bad.
My first round I aced it pretty smoothly. I managed to finish it in my 5th turn thanks to a fortunate Arcanine in my first hand, and enough support on the bench.
Second round was more in par with the opponent. Again Arcanine saved the day accompanied by a last minute Articuno. You gotta love Exp. Share card.
Third round and fourth were not so well, loosing both because I got no enough energy to charge my Pokemon.

Last round I though I was a goner. I was facing an EX Regigigas in my second turn. Thankfully energies were an issue for her and I managed to save the game using my Articuno.
At the end the rank stood 3W-2L. Not bad considering I had not played since 2008

I hope I can enter this weekend's prerelease too, but it all depends whether or not I have enough money.

I'm back!!! (again)

Well it's been a while since I updated this thing... Actually since 2003 more less...
Anyway not a lot of people read me then, and I don't know if that will change now, but I'll make the effort.
The most important thing about a blog is content, so I'll try to put a much as I can of that.

The focus of this blog will be variety, sometimes there will be technology news, other times they will be videogame news, and another portion of times will just be daily livings and stuff. So yeah, pretty much everything here and there...

So welcome to my mini-slice of world and I hope you have a nice time around here :3
